On September 24, 2024, The BOD of Hataphar embarked on a business trip to Japan at the invitation of ASKA Pharma to attend their Annual Management Conference.
At the conference, General Director Le Xuan Thang delivered a presentation outlining DHT’s long-term development plans. He placed particular emphasis on the flagship project in the strategic partnership between DHT and ASKA: The Hataphar High-Tech Pharmaceutical Factory scheduled to commence operations in 2025.
Given the Vietnamese Ministry of Health’s vision for the pharmaceutical industry by 2030 and 2045, which includes enhancing research capabilities, applying technology to produce original new drugs and modern dosage forms, and aiming to become a regional center for manufacturing and technology transfer of original new drugs in ASEAN, the conditions are ripe for the Hataphar CNC Factory to thrive. As one of the first factories in Vietnam to achieve Japan GMP standards and with technology consulting and transfer from ASKA Pharma – a pharmaceutical company with over a century of experience specializing in prescription drugs, hormones, and original new drugs – the factory is poised to become a significant player in the market.
Furthermore, Deputy General Director Le Viet Linh shared with ASKA’s leaders the importance of developing female leadership within organizations, highlighting Hataphar’s initiatives to empower women in leadership positions.
As a female leader herself, Ms. Le Viet Linh offered practical suggestions for both companies to further enhance the role, contributions, and influence of female employees. This is particularly relevant in the pharmaceutical industry, which has a high proportion of female employees, and in Vietnam, where the country has the second-highest percentage of female business leaders in Southeast Asia. These insights helped ASKA move closer to its goal of increasing the proportion of female leaders in its management team.
The sharing session took place in a vibrant atmosphere and was met with great enthusiasm and support from both sides. ASKA’s leaders expressed their hope for more opportunities for interaction and knowledge sharing between the employees of both companies in the future.
